Sunday Morning Service Patterns

9th June 2021

On April the 18th we had a day of services themed “looking back, stepping forward” to enable us to mark a new chapter in our life as a church.

Back then I suggested that if there was a line in the sand on that day it was a faint one – throughout the return towards normality (and we still have a long way to go) it has been difficult to discern any singular moment of transition.

This continues to be the case, but as 21st of June and a possible further easing of restrictions approaches I wanted to say a little more to our current plans for our Sunday morning service. You can read it here.

Emmanuel – A church without walls 21/03/20 – Live Stream service tomorrow

21st March 2020

Dear Emmanuel,

We’ve not got a video update for you today I’m afraid but we thought we’d send out a quick reminder about our first virtual church live stream tomorrow at 10am.

We really hope you can join us online tomorrow. Even though we’re not able to meet in person we are still the church, we’ll still worship our Lord Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit will still be with us.

If you need some instructions on how to watch our livestream CLICK HERE.

Following rigorous testing we’ve found that some phones and tablets that don’t have the YouTube app installed will open the link in your web browser. You might see a black screen with a countdown clock instead of a graphic similar to the one above. If you do, you’re in the right place but you will need to refresh the page at 10am to join the live stream.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to our tech team for putting this together in such a short space of time!

We really hope you enjoy our virtual church livestream tomorrow. See you there!

God bless,
Emmanuel Team

National Call to Prayer – Light a Candle

This Sunday we’d love to join in with the call from church leaders from across many denominations in the UK including Justin Welby the Archbishop of Canterbury to light a candle at 7pm and display it in your window as a visible symbol of the light of life, Jesus Christ, our source and hope in prayer.

Light your own candle, post it on social media and tag us in the pic. Together we can illuminate our streets and social media with the light and truth of Jesus.

We’ll be running our hugely successful Christmas Choirs again this year for both adults and children and we need some budding singers to join!
