Storytime Children’s Outreach Worker

Storytime is an outreach ministry reaching and discipling new children and their parents from our local primary school. We use storytelling, hospitality, shared meals and conversation and offer an informal, relational pathway into faith. We’re seeking a Children’s Outreach Worker to join the team.

You’ll be welcoming all to a living relationship with our Lord for themselves, nurturing the 10 or so families already taking part in the initiative and reaching out to the many more in our local school community.

You will be a self-starter and highly organized, able to exercise good judgement and be a keen team player. You will be able to lead and inspire a team of volunteers. You will have recent experience of church-based children’s work (paid or voluntary) and will have a passion for spreading the gospel.


The role is part time (10 hours per week) with 5 hours on a Friday and another 5 hours flexible working with some evening meetings. The annual salary of £7696 (FTE £28,475) and it will be a 12 month contract.


Persons applying must be committed Christians, and be able to work with our existing staff and volunteer teams. This role is subject to a DBS check.
