There are loads of ways to get involved at Emmanuel. Being part of one of our teams is a great way to get to know people in the church, as well as using your time and skills to help build God’s church.

Whether it is supporting our Sunday services, or working behind the scenes during the week, we are sure there is something for you to enjoy being a part of.

Take a look at our various teams and if you are interested in helping out then please get in touch.

One of the most important things when visiting a church for the first time, or even if you have been coming for years, is a warm and friendly welcome. We want everyone who comes to Emmanuel to experience this kind of introduction.

We are blessed with a team of leaders and helpers who serve in this way each week. Join the team and enjoy the company of our younger people from pre-school through to secondary. If you can offer any help with the teams please do get in touch with:

Mike Rutt: Youth Ministry Co-Ordinator (click for details)

Becky Cox: Children’s Co-Ordinator (click for details)

If you are a great singer or musician we would love to hear from you. If you are interested in joining our worship team or just want to learn more please visit the worship page (coming soon).

Running the sound and visuals for a Sunday gathering requires skill and precision. If you are handy with computers, know your way around a sound desk, or even if you are just keen to learn, let us know.

The hospitality team bless us every week with lovely tea, coffee, biscuits, and sometimes the odd doughnut! If you feel you could lend a hand on this team then do please get in touch.

The church and the hall are big spaces with lots going on during the week, and on Sundays. It takes a dedicated and amazing group of people to help us keep it looking its best.

Sometimes we assemble teams to do one-off tasks. Things like painting the church, setting up security lights or just a good clear-out! These are short and intense bursts of work that are rewarding, exhausting and fun.

When we worship, we want everything to be the best, and there are things to get ready each week. Whether it be fresh flowers, new notices, or setting up for communion, it takes a team of wonderful people to make sure it is all sorted.
