“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest” – Jesus.

Safari is a Swahili word, meaning “journey”.  As we journey through life, it is healthy to take time out from our normal routine regularly; to think, to reflect, and to draw closer to God – and Safari is an opportunity to think, reflect and draw closer to God.

Safari  is held at a home close to the church, usually once a month.  It begins with an introduction for all participants together.  Each ‘Safari’ is led by a facilitator and there are usually several themed rooms and spaces in which to rest and encounter God both inside and in the garden.  Quiet is usually encouraged for at least part of the time.

We would love to welcome you at our next Safari, whether or not you have previous experience of retreats.
