The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3 17
Lent is the 6 week period that runs from Ash Wednesday (26 February) until Easter Saturday (11 April). Many people choose to give up something for Lent. Others set themselves a spiritual challenge, taking on a new type of prayer or Bible reflection. There are a wealth of resources available.

Archbishop’s Live Lent – Care for God’s creation challenge
The Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book for 2020 is Saying Yes to Life by Dr Ruth Valerio. She imaginatively draws on the Days of Creation in Genesis 1 to lift our focus from everyday concerns to issues that are affecting millions of lives around the world. Bursting with practical advice as well as biblical reflection, discussion questions and prayers, this is a stirring and liberating call to look after the world that God has made – and to share in God’s joy and creativity by making a difference for good.
Accompanying this is a daily reflection which you can sign up for by email, or app https://www.churchofengland.org/more/church-resources/lent-2020-church-resources
