Youth Groups
Emmanuel has two youth groups for young people between the ages of 14 to 18.
UNIT is a youth club open to both regular members of the church and to local young people who do not already belong to Emmanuel.
UNIT meets every Thursday in the Church Hall, opposite the church on Rockhampton Road. It runs from 8.00pm to 9.30pm. Every week there are different games or activities. Recent UNITs have included: football, volleyball, wide games, bowling, Laser Quest, karaoke, unihoc, craft, table tennis, basketball, board games, dodge ball and, of course, talking! Each week there is a five-minute God slot at 9 o’clock.
UNIT is a welcoming club, it is easy to be a member and it is free! A termly programme is published by the church.

UNIT – You know it’s Thursday.
Connexions is the name of our other youth group for 14-18s, and it meets on a Sunday evening after the evening service from 8 - 9.30pm in the basement. It is a joint group between Emmanuel Church and Croham Road Baptist Church, hence the name 'Connexions'. Each meeting is split in half, the first 45 minutes being social based with chatting and games, the second 45 minutes involving teaching and worship. Teaching takes the form of a talk or small group discussion, often with use of multimedia. Connexions also offers midweek small groups, one-off socials and an annual weekend away.
