Social Meetings
There are all manner of social gatherings that go on at Emmanuel, but here are just a few that may appeal even if you haven’t got to know many people at the church yet.
Eleven O’Clock Club
This is a club that particularly attracts the congregation of the eleven o’clock service, hence the name. They meet in the church foyer for coffee, followed by a recital or talk, and then retire over the road to the Church Hall for lunch. Occasionally the group will take a trip on a cultural visit. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, and offer excellent value for money at £4 for the whole event.

This club provides two hours of friendship, music, exercise and fun – the essence of folk dancing today. Each dance set is explained, walked through, the caller prompting throughout the dance.
The meetings are held in the Emmanuel Church Hall every other Tuesday from 2pm
New members, couples or singles, particularly beginners, are always welcome.
