Baptisms

If you are interested in having your child baptised at Emmanuel we would be happy to explore that option with you.

We offer two types of service, a thanksgiving service to thank God for this new life, and a baptism service, where the child is baptised into God’s family, and their parents and Godparents make promises before God and the congregation to bring the child up to know and love God.

Either of these would take place within our family service at 9.30 on a Sunday morning.

If you’re a regular at Emmanuel, or have been coming along to the services for several months, then please do have a chat with one of the clergy after the service. They will arrange a visit with you, when they will set the date for the baptism, and also invite you and the child’s Godparents to a baptism preparation evening, along with other families.
