SUNDAY AT EMMANUEL CROYDON
We would love to welcome you at any of our regular services on a Sunday. Each service has a different flavour, or style, but each of them sit within our overall vision that our services would be characterised by the following five words:
Welcoming. Worshipful. Multi-generational. Growing. Anglican.
Both services begin with about twenty minutes of all ages worshipping together, after which children from 0-14yrs can head off to their own fantastic activities. The services continue with prayers, songs, readings from the Bible, and a sermon. At both services we have regular celebrations of Holy Communion, and services of all age worship. There is a creche for babies and toddlers that runs throughout both services. You are very welcome to come and join us!
Our 9.15 service is energetic, informal, loud, free and fast-paced. The sung worship is led by a full band with contemporary songs for all-ages, as well as re-workings of some of the best traditional hymns. The service lasts about an hour, and is followed by The Rock Cafe in the Church Hall as the children’s activities are finishing.
Our 11 o’ clock service is more spacious and reflective, peaceful and familiar in structure and includes a mix of songs and hymns, old and new, led by a small group of musicians and the organ. The service lasts up to 75mins when the children are brought back to church.
Our 6.30 service is an informal service with more time for extended worship, teaching and prayer ministry. We have regular celebrations of Holy Communion, and try to engage creatively with praying for our community and the world we live in. The service follows on from our 14-18s youth program, lasts up to 75mins and is followed with drinks in the church.
