Emmanuel is working in partnership with All Saints and St Barnabas, Kenley to plant a church for people not already connected to a church. It’s called the Hayes Church as it meets in the Hayes primary school in Kenley every Sunday morning.
“The Hayes Church is for everyone, no matter how tall you are, short you are, colour, background, personality, age or class. Come as you are.
The Hayes Church is about humbly putting the transforming power of the Holy Spirit at the forefront of all we do, the invitation Jesus offered us to be a family, all based on the love of the Father.
Everyone is welcome!”
Emmanuel has sent four members of the congregation to be part of the leadership team of this new worshipping community – Clive and Helen Lewis-Jones, and Pete and Hannah Bowdery.
The church is an initiative of All Saints and St Barnabas, Kenley and is led by Rev Dr Donna Lazenby and Rev Chris Thomson.
You can hear much more about the church plant and how we commissioned Clive, Helen, Pete and Hannah by listening online to the 6.30pm service on Jan 24 when the team also shared some of the vision for the church plant, which is seeking to reach people who have no other connection with a church.
